$1,000,000 is the normal top prize on the American version of Deal or No Deal. Whenever a board has a top prize that is greater than $1 million, it appears either as the second-highest amount ($1.5 million, $2 million, $2.5 million, and $3 million boards) or as the third-highest amount under a non-top prize multi-million-dollar amount ($4 million, $5 million, and $6 million boards, the Double Deal board, and the 2004 ABC pilot), airing the Million Dollar Mission and the Multi-Million Dollar Madness, multiple cases (from 2 to 13) holding $1,000,000 are used replacing amounts on the right side of the board. Kimberly Chastang was also offered $1,240,000. Matty Sollena also had an offer higher than $1,000,000. His offer was $1,600,000, higher than Kimberly's $1,240,000 offer.
Winners
Two contestants have won $1,000,000, both which happened during the Million Dollar Mission. Jessica Robinson played her game on September 1, 2008, with five $1,000,000 cases and played the game all the way to the end, turning down a final offer of $561,000 and refusing to swap her case (#4) to win the top prize. On October 29, 2008, Tomorrow Rodriguez played with nine $1,000,000 cases and selected case #7, and won early. Turning down a gigantic offer of $677,000, she got rid of the final left side amount, $300, and had nothing but the million as the only amount, guaranteeing her the win.

In addition to this, Matty picked case #23, which held the $3,000,000 top prize on the season two premiere on September 18, 2006, which was sold for $675,000. (The prove-out would have taken his final offer up to $1.6 million). So not only have seventeen contestants sold the $1 case, but seventeen have sold the top prize case, (as Kimberly Chastang and Jay Garrity are exceptions) resulting in 19 picks for both. Mike picked case #9, which held $2,500,000 top prize on the ABC pilot on 2004, which was sold for $416,000 (The prove-out would have taken his final offer up to $1,240,000).

Trivia
- According to the December 25, 2008 episode, cases 6 and 17 tied for having the most million-dollar amounts, at 25 until that episode. By the end of season 5, case 6 had beat case 17 by holding million-dollar amounts 27 times.
- Case 14 held the least million-dollar amounts, only 14 times during all 5 seasons of the show. (To see how many times other cases held million-dollar amounts: List of $1,000,000 Knockdown)
Cases #6 and #17 have held the million the most times, it was a tie, but later in season 5 case #6 beat case #17 by holding it 27 times.
- In almost every season (except season 3) there where cases that didn't have a million-dollar amount or didn't have $1,000,000, but had bigger million-dollar amounts.
- In season 1 cases 4, 18, and 26 are the only cases to not have held the million.
- Also in Season 1, cases 9, 11, and 12 didn't have $1,000,000, but instead had bigger amounts like $5,000,000, $2,000,000, and $1,500,000.
- In Season 2, case 24 didn't have $1,000,000, but instead had a bigger amount which was $2,000,000.
- In Season 3, each case had held the million at least 3 times.
- In Season 4, cases 15 and 24 are the only cases to not have held the million.
- In Season 5, Cases 3, 5, 8, 15, 17, 21, and 25 are the seven cases to not have held the million.
- In season 1 cases 4, 18, and 26 are the only cases to not have held the million.
- In every season there where different cases that had held the million the most. A case that had held the million the most in a season, had only held it the most in 1 season. In seasons 1, 2 and 4, two cases had tied for holding it the most. In seasons 3 and 5, only 1 case had held it the most.
- In Season 1, cases 3 and 10 had held the million the most - 5 times each (case 3 held $1,000,000 4 times and $2,500,000 1 time, case 10 held $1,000,000 all 5 times).
- In Season 2, cases 5 and 6 had held the million the most - 8 times each (case 5 had $1,000,000 7 times and $4,000,000 1 time, case 6 had $1,000,000 all 8 times).

- Also, whenever Howie says "$1,000,000 all the way down to one penny,” the player will be playing for higher stakes or a double deal game.”
- This would have been Cyndi Pridgen's final offer.
