This is chronicling the unsold 2004 US pilot of Deal or No Deal.

History[]

Originally set for ABC Primetime, these were ordered for six episodes in the Spring and were taped from February 25-March 6, 2004 but were scrapped later on for whatever reason. The pilot was hosted by Irish comedian & television personality Patrick Kielty instead of Mandel, the cases were gold (which looked dreadfully similar to the cases used in the Lucky Case Game of the NBC version) instead of silver & the top prize was $2,500,000 instead of $1,000,000 in the NBC/CNBC versions or $500,000 in the shorter-lived, two season only Syndicated version.

Rules[]

Twenty-six gold cases are being held by twenty-six women containing cash amounts from a nickel to $2,500,000 are distributed to pre-selected members of the audience. Kielty then offers a mystery amount ranging from $500-$50,000 to the players to bail out; only up to five people are allowed to take this offer. Afterwards, Kielty selects a random number and the contestant holding that case plays the game. During the game, the cases are held by twenty-six different models.

Before the game, the player had the option to switch cases. then the first round begins with six cases being removed, the second round with five cases, then four, three, two and subsequently down to removing one case at a time. A bank (a.k.a "The Banker") gives their offer after every round as these offers were mainly given by a mysterious female voice over and a model holding a gold case containing the bank's offer to the player.
