Howard Michael “Howie” Mandel (born November 29, 1955) is an Canadian actor and comedian. He is the host of the U.S. version of Deal or No Deal, the 2009 Game Show Awards and the current judge on America's Got Talent.
Howie initially didn't want to host Deal or No Deal, but eventually gave in and agreed to host. He has never revealed just how he was persuaded, but some fans speculate that the network kidnapped and tortured him for 13 weeks.
In addition to hosting & judging, Howie is also credited for creating & starring in his own cartoon show Bobby's World, and before that he starred in the successful NBC medical drama St. Elsewhere, a show that also starred frequent game show celebrity guest Ed Begley Jr.
In October 2008, Howie revealed that he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) on the morning talk show Live! with Regis and Kelly, adding that he is currently working to raise adult ADHD awareness among the general public.
Howie has written and published an in-depth autobiography which details his life with OCD, ADHD, kidnapping, comedy, and the story of how he became a mass murderer. The novel is titled Here's the Deal: Don't Touch Me(Please, You Already Took My Wife).
Howie later became the host and executive producer of a show similar to Deal or No Deal: Take It All.
In 2024, Howie became the executive producer of the spinoff Deal or No Deal Island, hosted by Joe Manganiello.

- Howie Mandel mispronounced the model’s name wrong in the premiere week, he said "Pee-lar". Soon after the fifth episode through the series, he said Pilar’s name correctly, but an contestant pronounced it incorrectly, but Howie said how to pronounce her name correctly to help her.
- In some occasions, Howie Mandel wear something on his head that is hilarious. On the Season 3 finale, he wore the same hairstyle of Brandy Brown. One episode of Season 4, he wore a helmet to protect the head bumping of Tia Lampone.
